Discover this fun and exciting “hands on” building workshop using hand tools.
Learn to use real tools! Working with hand tools such as hammers, drills and different kinds of saws your son or daughter will be creating building projects from wood. They will learn about the various kinds of tools and how to use them safely. Campers will build projects such as pinewood derby cars, bird or bat houses, or helicopters created from wood. Regardless of what we create, your child will enjoy building and working with hand-tools. The class will be held in the fun-filled middle school art studio with lots of room for painting and assembling projects and tools galore.
This camp is designed to familiarize campers with various hand tools used in working with wood. This will advance their skill for their own fun hobby use, as well as, for household use of hand tools down the road.
