All McCallie Summer Camps begin at 9:00AM with Early Drop Off between 8:00AM and 9:00AM for no extra charge. No campers should ever be dropped off before 8:00AM.

McCallie First Camp

McCallie “First” Camp is designed for boys ages five and six. It includes various fun activities that stress the importance of cooperation and teamwork. Team sports, such as basketball and soccer, will introduce basic skills, develop some hand/eye coordination, and involve participation and good sportsmanship. A swim period in the McCallie “Lake” each day will include “water awareness” instruction and help from staff members for campers who cannot swim. In addition Indoor Pool Swim Lessons are included in the camp price! All activities are supervised by hand-selected counselors and adults.


McCallie Day Camp

McCallie Day Camp is designed to give boys knowledgeable skills in various activities while stressing the importance of teamwork and cooperation. Boys are assigned to teams according to age and are supervised by hand-selected counselors and adults at all times. Two swim periods in the McCallie “Lake” are included in each day’s fun activities.


Baseball Camp

McCallie Baseball Camp emphasizes fun and learning while offering instruction in the fundamentals of hitting, base running, defensive position play, pitching, game strategy, and ways to stay sharp in the off-season.


Basketball Camp

McCallie Basketball Camp emphasizes teamwork and learning to work together with other players. All aspects of basketball will be taught and by the end of camp the players will know about the art of basketball and the intricacies of strategy.


Building with Hand Tools

Learn to use real tools! Working with hand tools such as hammers, drills and different kinds of saws your son or daughter will be creating building projects. They will learn about the various kinds of tools and how to use them safely. Campers will build projects such as pinewood derby cars, bird or bat houses, a Lego-look hanging rack, or a wooden organizer caddy.


Cross Country Camp

This camp is for all levels of runners. The camp will feature instruction on proper running technique, various types of running workouts, core strengthening exercises, proper nutrition for endurance activities, and ways to make running fun.


Film Production - CAVE camp

In this hands-on workshop using state of the art digital equipment and facilities of the McCallie CAVE, students will conceive and produce short dramatic films working in small teams.


Fly Fishing Camp

McCallie’s Fly Fishing Camp will give campers the knowledge, skills and practice they need to join the ranks of this rewarding life-long pursuit. This week-long session is designed for those with little or no experience, boys and girls. The only requirement is an interest in fishing and an enthusiasm for the outdoors. New this year: Intermediate Fly Fishing for those campers with experience – every day will be on the water!


Football Camp

McCallie Football Camps will be directed by head varsity football coach Ralph Potter ’81. This year there is, in addition, there is a two evening Padded Football Camp for $30 where campers experience Football with all the gear!


Gentlemen's Camp

Our hope is to infuse the campers with confidence and help them understand what it means to be a gentlemen. Gentlemen’s Camp will keep a fast paced daily schedule to maximize the number of topics covered during this week-long camp.


Golf Camp

The weeklong golf camp is designed to develop skills for the aspiring golfer. We will cover the basics of the game such as: rules, etiquette, swing technique, short game, and practice habits. The participant will also have the chance to look at their own swing on video and listen to a local pro give several special clinics.


I-3 Camp

Spend a week learning what it takes to be an inventor. We will learn about 3D printing, laser and plasma cutting, electronics, and robots. Each day of camp will split time between McCallie’s Innovation Lab and the Engineering Lab. Anyone can be an inventor when they have the right tools!


Lacrosse Camp

McCallie Lacrosse Camps cover all aspects of team play, with emphasis on fundamental development and the mechanics of individual offense and defense. The camp offers individual skill sessions, a team skill session, and a team game each day.

Remote Control

Remote Control (RC) and Drone technology is the future! Landing rovers on planets, drones in the skies today or robotic assembly systems, all have similar technologies in use. Get in on the ground level now! Help your son or daughter get ahead and learn the basic mechanics and actual operational skills of remote controlled vehicles and drones.


Rowing Camp

This summer McCallie & GPS will be launching our inaugural coed rowing camp that is open to rising 6-12 graders. There is no experience necessary and campers will be instructed by GPS and McCallie head coaches, Megan and Sean McCourt.


Sailing Camp

Week-long camp teaches the basics of sailing at the Privateer Yacht Club.


Science Camps


Soccer Camp

McCallie Soccer Camp aims to develop basic technical and tactical abilities and offers competitive play of various small-sided games to boys and girls. Players are grouped by age and ability in order for the individual player to receive appropriate challenges with plenty of soccer fun and learning.


Speed and Agility Camp

The goal of speed and agility camp is that each camper will have fun and learn the fundamentals of sprinting, through an extensive list of activities, in order to help them do well in any sport.


Swim Lessons

McCallie Swim Lessons are designed to teach the four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly). Swimmers are placed into groups according to age and ability.

Tennis Camp

McCallie Tennis Camp provides a week of tennis fun and learning for boys and girls of all abilities. The camp is designed so each participant will hit a lot of tennis balls. Technique, strategy, and conditioning will be covered. All sessions are divided according to skill level and age.


Wrestling Camp

McCallie Wrestling Camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of wrestling. Emphasis is on skill development for the serious wrestler as well as stressing fundamental position and technique to the beginner.
